My classes are relaxed, fun and friendly. I burn incense (if allowed at the venue) and play relaxing music and include mindful warm-up stretches, focusing and building up to some stronger postures before some Pranayama (breath work) and a guided relaxation & meditation. We finish by chanting Om, and sometimes include other chants if everyone is happy to and there is time. I have a relaxed approach to teaching, and I like to incorporate some stress-relief exercises such as laughter Yoga into the evening. There is always time afterwards for a chat if you wish.

In the regular classes, once all students have covered the basic techniques and principles, I teach my students how to incorporate Chakra balancing/activation into the postures whenever possible and encourage everyone to have a strong link between Body, Mind & Spirit. I can also teach and give handouts on breathing (Pranayama), lifestyle, philosophy, nutrition, meditation (Dhyana), Detox & Body Cleansing (Kriyas) and all aspects of Yoga fit those who are interested and want to take their practice to a deeper level.

All classes are suitable for beginners, and are also suited to intermediate level student who prefer a relaxed, gentle & spiritual class. Each posture is clearly explained with the option of taking your practice to a deeper more advanced level if you wish, allowing you to work easily at your own pace and ability.  I have mixed abilities in my classes and they are usually a small class. Many postures are broken down so you can go as far as you want with them.

The class includes 30 mins gentle warm up stretches and breath work, about 30 mins of postures, more breathwork if there is time and 15-20 mins meditation at the end so it is not all physical! I give handouts so you can do some yoga at home of you wish too.

1-2-1 TUITION

My 1-2-1 classes are designed to suit your needs and budget. I can offer tuition at my therapy room, which will fit 2 people (including me!). I can offer simple instruction as if running a regular class or design a completely bespoke programme incorporating lifestyle and nutrition depending on your needs and budget. Individual sessions can be 1 hour 30 minutes or 2 hours in length and can be taken at intervals to suit you – weekly, or you may wish to consider fortnightly or monthly if you intend to practice Yoga at home too.

My class programme is progressive and will begin at a level to suit you.

Cost is dependent on what is required.
For example Yoga class only at 1.5 hours per session – £35

A discount can be applied if you choose to commit to and pay for at least 4 sessions at a time.

Please contact me for a quotation to suit your needs.

CHILDREN’S YOGA

I teach Children’s Yoga quite different from adult’s Yoga. It is practised through games, role-playing and gentle flowing movements – sometimes with rhymes or songs. I always include a short meditation at the end of each session for which I have written some guided meditations based upon Aesops fables and other inspirational stories. Previous children who have attended my classes have always told me how much they enjoy it, and I have often been given good feedback from their parents on the positive effects Yoga has had on their children. Beyond the physical benefits of increasing suppleness, stamina and strength, Yoga can have a profound effect on the body-mind connection. Children can feel more in tune with themselves, have increased confidence and self esteem and have greater appreciation and compassion of their peers and others.
I run Children’s Yoga with my husband who has practised Yoga alongside me since 2006 and has helped out in my adult classes. Any adults who help me with the class are CRB checked (including my husband – for parents’ reassurance!)

Cost is generally £5 per child, £3 for additional siblings.

Classes not running at present.

If anyone has attended my classes, please leave any feedback you may have in the comments below! Thanks!
There is also feedback from my previous website at the menu above.
