If you are receiving distance Reiki, to make the session more relaxing and beneficial I advise you create an environment that you can relax and feel comfortable in. You may wish to put on some relaxing music and burn some incense. Make sure you won’t be disturbed, so take the phone off the hook and let any family members know not to disturb you. Sit down about 10 minutes before the scheduled time and let yourself completely relax and calm your mind. You may wish to use a guided meditation CD or just simply focus on your breathing and try to find the peace between your thoughts. If you wish you may ask your guides and Angels to protect you during the session.
When you are ready say either aloud or to yourself:
“I am ready to receive Reiki Energy being sent to me by Danielle Bryant.”
Then simply relax for about 30 minutes or so. You will intuitively feel when the session is over.
After your Session
Afterwards you may feel a little disorientated so give yourself some time to adjust and come back to the room. It is not a good idea to rush about, or go out into the car straight afterwards! Drink a glass of water, and avoid alcohol.
It is important to drink plenty of water over the next 24 hours to help your body release emotional toxins.
You may find you are a little more senstive or emotional than usual as you begin to release blocked emotions, and although it is unusual, I need to advise that you may notice an aggravation in any symptoms you may have been experiencing, but please be assured that this is only part of the process in releasing what needs to be released. Just be kind to yourself and listen to your body. Rest if you need to and cry if you need to!
